The good news is, the 13-inch MacBook Pro (starting at A$2,199) is shipping from Friday.
If you want a 13-inch or 15-inch model with Touch Bar and Touch ID (starting at A$3,599 and A$3,599 respectively), you'll have to exercise a *touch* (get it?) more patience.
They’ll be available to ship to Australia in two to three weeks.
The new Pro is reportedly 103 percent faster for gaming, and over 75 percent faster for video editing and graphics.
Apple's senior vice president of marketing, Phil Schiller said: "It has a whole new design made of metal; it's aluminum on all sides," adding "it is the new gold standard in notebook computers."
