Sleeping in an IKEA store isn't a totallycrazy fantasy. It's something we've all probably thought about while circumnavigating the endless aisles of the Swedish store.
Now that fantasy is eroticization of female dominance and male passivitybecoming a reality, and even better -- it's on a boat. IKEA has created what it calls world's first "Harbour Home," converting a Sydney Harbour ferry into a functioning houseboat, fully decked out with an IKEA interior.
SEE ALSO: Watching drunk Irish people struggle to assemble IKEA furniture is as fun as you'd expectThe furniture giant re-designed the historic Australian ferry's sleeping quarters, dining and living areas and outdoor areas, allowing one lucky punter and their partner, to stay in it for a night.
The lucky winner of the "Habour Home" competition, identified simply as Max said, "I couldn’t wait to move into the IKEA Harbour Home. The IKEA interior design team scoped out my house prior to moving in and found items that truly make my home mine.
"They created a spectacular home and it was incredible to wake up to the amazing view of Sydney Harbour." Jealous? Us? Pfft.
Of course, it's not first time the pun-tastic furniture store has run a competition where people can win the chance to sleep on its furniture.
You could book a one-night stay in its stores for a measly A$12 (US$9.21) on Airbnb back in 2014.
With news of Matt and Neece's win, the competition that was running on IKEA's Facebook page, is officially over. Tough break, everyone. Time to go back to dreaming of a lush house boat the size of a ferry.
UPDATE: Oct. 24, 2016, noon AEDT Story update to include winner's info and assets.
