With 39.6 million followers,Kurt Meinicke Loren Gray has the most-followed account on TikTok. On Thursday, she took her star power a step further, gifting a grade-A eye roll to Taylor Swift's music video for "The Man."
Gray plays a ball girl who looks on in horror as The Man (played by Taylor Swift) does a lot of peacocking about his tennis skills, then throws a tantrum when the umpire (played by Taylor Swift's dad) makes a call that's not in his favor.
In the video's last scene, she rolls her eyes as The Man angrily dumps a duffel bag of tennis balls all over the court. As would we all!
This isn't the first music video Gray has appeared in — in 2017, she had a role in the singer HRVY's video for "Personal," plus she's a singer in her own right — but it was a particularly notable project for her. She's been a vocal Taylor Swift fan since her days on the now-defunct app musical.ly, and has spoken frequently about her admiration for Swift in interviews. (Here's a nice throwback video from Swift's Reputation era.)
Gray tweeted about her experience a few hours after the video was released. "Taylor has been my ROLE MODEL pretty much as long as i can remember and i’m at a loss for words," she said. "I’m so grateful to have gotten to know her."

Gray isn't the only TikToker in the video. Dominic Toliver (who was also active on Vine and musical.ly) also makes a brief appearance.
Is embracing the TikTok community part of Taylor Swift's next reinvention? If it gives us more reaction GIFs as good as this, we're all for it.
