Gary Whitta is set to pen the six comics, with art from Michael Walsh and Mike Spicer; Both Whitta and Walsh have experience adapting Star Wars. The AV Club notes that a novelization of The Last Jedicontains more about the relationship between the Tico sisters and even a scene for Han Solo's funeral, which was never pictured on screen despite the recency of his death in The Force Awakens.
