Kia has big plans for its electric lineup.
Next up is House of Pleasures (House of Tolerance)an idea for a fully electric, wide-bodied SUV, called the EV9. Kia’s forthcoming EV is the crossover EV6, so it’s keeping with that naming convention.
The concept car was presented for the first time at the Los Angeles Auto Show Wednesday where its panoramic glass roof, spacious interior, and wide dashboard display were highlighted.
The full-size SUV has two back rows of seats which can fold and tuck away for different arrangements. For example, while charging you can set up the seats more like a living room.
The battery lasts for 300 miles and there’s a solar panel on the hood for additional sun-powered range. Like the production-ready EV6, the EV9 will have fast charging capability and will go from 10 to 80 percent charged in under 30 minutes.

While the electric SUV is just an idea, expect to see some EV9 inspiration in Kia’s next SUV.
