People are Hairy | Adult Movies Onlinereally pissed at Morrissey, and it's not hard to see why.
The English singer defended Kevin Spacey, in light of the recent stream of sexual assault allegations against him, saying the Hollywood actor was "unnecessarily attacked."
SEE ALSO: Another actor accuses Kevin Spacey of sexual harassmentSpeaking to German publication Der Spiegel, the former Smiths frontman was asked what he thought about Spacey being recast in upcoming film All The Money In The World, a move that he called "ridiculous."
"As far as I know, he was in the bedroom with a 14-year-old. One wonders if the boy did not know what could happen," said Morrissey, according to a translated version of the article.
"I've never been in situations like this in my youth. Never. I always knew what could happen."
"When you are in somebody's bedroom, you have to be aware of where that can lead to," Morrissey says. "That's why it does not sound very credible to me. It seems to me Spacey has been unnecessarily attacked."
Der Spiegel then put forward the topic of Harvey Weinstein to Morrissey, asking if the same principle should be applied to the actresses who went into the hotel room with him.
"People know exactly what happens...they play along. Afterward, they feel embarrassed or they do not like it. And then they turn around and say: I was attacked, I was surprised, I was dragged into the room," Morrissey says.
"But if everything had gone well and had it given them a great career, they would not talk about it."
The singer then adds that rape isn't something he stands for.
"I hate rape. I hate attacks. I hate sexual situations that are forced on someone. But in many cases, one looks at the circumstances and thinks that the person referred to as a victim is merely disappointed. If you go through history, almost everyone is guilty of sleeping with minors," he said.
Morrissey then adds that "rape is disgusting, every physical attack is repulsive. But we have to see it in relative terms. Otherwise, every person on this planet is guilty."
The singer's appalling comments have quickly reverberated around social media.

Morrissey also addressed other topics over the course of his interview, which included everything from Israel, Brexit to his thoughts of Trump.
When asked by Spiegel's reporter if Morrissey would press a button that would result in Trump's death, he answers: "I would, for the safety of humanity. It has nothing to do with my personal opinion of his face or his family, but in the interest of humanity I would press."
