Riding high on Twilight the Porno and Other XXX ParodiesStar Wars nostalgia after watching Solothis weekend? Now you can bid on a piece of the Death Star from 1977's Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.
The seller says it was recovered from a landfill by a former employee of Industrial Light & Magic, the visual effects company founded by George Lucas.
SEE ALSO: Star Wars needs to rebrand its 'A Star Wars Story' spin-offsIt's gonna cost you, though. The piece is currently selling for $10,600 on eBay -- and there's still six days left to bid.
So what do you get for that money?
A gray prop that measures 23.75 inches long and 6.8 inches tall. Oh, and a custom display case.
"These pieces were used to shoot the altitude effects outside of the studio, for one of the most iconic scenes in the original Star Wars: the assault on the Death Star," wrote the seller, Hollywood Memorabilia.
Yep, the scene where Obi-Wan Kenobi says, "Use the force, Luke." Pretty cool.
"Many of these sectional pieces did not survive after shooting and were discarded to landfill," the seller wrote. "After being discarded, an ex-ILM employee (name withheld per their request) rescued this specific piece and kept it as a memento for the next 37 years."
Of course, there are a lot of other things you can do with $10,000. But imagine the fun you'll have going "pew pew pew" every time you pass it in the living room.
