With almost everyone stuck at home nowadays due to the pandemic9 Moons it makes sense that Amazon has not only added new features to Fire TV, but also introduced two new Fire TV Sticks.
With Fire TV, there's now a video calling feature that will allow you to take video calls from the TV instead of on your laptop or computer. Available later this year, the feature will allow you to connect a Logitech USB webcam to a Fire TV Cube for two-way video calling. Amazon also announced support for Zoom, but said that's coming "at a later date."
The new Fire TV experience, which will be rolling out later this year, is also supposedly easier to use now. Amazon has simplified things like the Main Menu, Find tool, and the voice-first Alexa experience. You're also now able to create profiles for up to six users.
As for its streaming devices, Amazon's all-new $39.99 Fire TV Stick features a processor that's 50 percent more powerful than its predecessor. It also has HDR compatibility, support for Dolby Atmos, and comes with the signature Alexa remote to control your TV and audio.
Amazon is also offering a Fire TV Stick Lite for $29.99 that will ship later this month. This more affordable option is capable of streaming in full-HD with HDR and comes with a remote that packs Alexa Voice. So, you can still use it to find specific content with voice commands.
Both the all-new Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick Lite will start shipping later this month.
