Notably, Tencent’s WeChat, which was previously included, has been removed this time. WeChat was included on the list in both 2022 and 2023. While on the list, Tencent strongly opposed being listed and emphasized to the USTR that it has made significant long-term investments in intellectual property and has been collaborating globally to promote IP protection.
