HBO has finally pulled the trigger on manga eroticism of pure loveTrue Detective Season 3, withGreen Roomdirector Jeremy Saulnier on board to helm multiple installments alongside series creator Nic Pizzolatto.
Pizzolatto once again penned the entirety of the season, with the exception of episode 4, which he co-wrote with Deadwoodcreator David Milch.

HBO also shared the first details of Mahershala Ali's lead character, Wayne Hays, who is a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas.
“Nic has written truly remarkable scripts," said HBO programming president Casey Bloys. "With his ambitious vision and Mahershala Ali and Jeremy Saulnier aboard, we are excited to embark on the next installment of True Detective.”
Added Pizzolatto, "I'm tremendously thrilled to be working with artists at the level of Mahershala and Jeremy. I hope the material can do justice to their talents, and we're all very excited to tell this story."
A premiere date and episode count for True DetectiveSeason 3 has yet to be announced. The previous two seasons both ran for eight episodes, with Season 1 premiering in January 2014 and Season 2 debuting in June 2015.
