If you thought it was shitty of the President to fire his Secretary of State with an early morning tweet,Sex in the Game (2017) you're not alone. Fox News is with you.
Just a few hours after Trump tweeted that Rex Tillerson was out as the head of the state department and CIA Chief Mike Pompeo would replace him, it was revealed that Tillerson likely learned about the state of his job from Twitter. That's pretty bad form from the guy who used to fire people face-to-face on reality TV.
SEE ALSO: Trump reportedly fired Rex Tillerson on Twitter. Ouch.Normal people weren't the only ones to make the connection that Trump's professionalism in this instance was, er, lacking. State-run mediaFox News also thought this could have been handled better, and they pretty much blasted Trump on their front page.
"Trump announces Tillerson sacked from state department with undiplomatic tweet," their headline read. While this stuffy, sniffily headline might read as a disappointed shake of the head with some under-the-breath tsking, it's basically Fox's equivalent of brandishing pitchforks at their hairlessfearless leader.
The post even goes so far as to call this personnel turnover "unceremonious." Can you imagine? We'll pause while you pick your monocle up from the floor.
But don't worry, the world hasn't gone as topsy-turvy as you might think. It didn't take long before the established Fox News angle was that this firing was a ~pivot~ back to Trump's core nationalist populism.
Ok.
