Mark Zuckerberg announced a crucial update to the avatars of the metaverse on Watch Black Panther OnlineTuesday: they will now be given legs. The Meta CEO said that these avatars – and their legs – will first be seen in Horizon Worlds, and later across Meta's apps.
"Everyone has been waiting for this," said Zuckerberg's elevated avatar at yesterday's Meta Connect developer event. "But seriously, legs are hard, which is why other virtual reality systems don’t have them either".

The news isa step further in the development of avatars, allowing them to become a little more realistic and perhaps bringing us closer to Meta's vision of future life in the metaverse.
