Crossover episodes are Mister, Do It With Me, Not With Momthe most fashionable TV trend right now, behind dark comedies and just being FX. The CW interconnected the worlds on The Flash, Arrow, Supergirland now Legends of Tomorrow, and on Tuesday, Fox united two of its best comedies with a special Brooklyn Nine-Nine/New Girl event.
SEE ALSO: 'Westworld' bosses are already crafting Season 2, hint at other worldsAs a fan of both shows, I've been itching for this Fox crossover since last winter. I even wrote a little treatment for it:
L.A. beat cop Winston Bishop finds himself attached to a drug case that leads all the way to Brooklyn’s dirtiest district: The Nine-Nine. Schmidt tags along and despite a poor first impression from Charles Boyle, the two bond fast and hard over artisanal cheeses. Jess isn’t allowed anywhere near the precinct because she triggers Rosa Diaz. Nick Miller gets lost at the airport and never makes it to the right borough.
Since TV executives are clearly spying on my Googledocs, here are nine more crossovers that television needs.
The best part of Fuller Housewas Kimmy GIbbler, so let’s pretend she escaped the Tanner clan’s bunker to start a new life in New York City. She wears bright colors and uses outdated slang and it’s a full 70 days before Titus notices that his roommate is an entirely different person.
The inmates try to break out of Litchfield, only to find that it's a suspended reality and they're all cryogenically frozen in the year 2370. Robots have mutinied and scorched the earth, and no one ever found out what happened to Bennett.
Addendum: If you think these sound like the ideas of a crazy person, you should know that I keep like-minded company:

If Lee Sizemore on Westworld reminds you of someone you can't place, look no further than another cranky English man who just wants people to like his stories. Jimmy Shive-Overly could be dropped into Westworld starting this week and no one would notice the difference, and he'd finally have a stage to adapt his book! Gretchen and Lindsay inevitably have sex with all the hosts.
FX takes the reins to stage a live performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but it's suddenly atttacked by either ghosts or genetically enhanced pretty boys (played by Matt Bomer, Finn Wittrock and Evan Peters). Sarah Paulson shows her range as Dr. Frank N. Furter and is the only survivor so that she can keep up her full-time job as Ryan Murphy's muse.
An identity crisis and downsizing at the National City Tribunelead Kara Danvers to work in retail at a Cloud 9 Superstore, which is perfect for keeping a low profile. Amy insists something is up with the new hire and enlists Jonah's help to investigate, but he's useless and asks Kara out instead. (who isn't ready to date anyone after Jimmy Olsen). When Cloud 9 is inevitably attacked by supernatural threats unknown, Glenn runs away screaming and pretty much never stops.
Diane Johnson invents a time machine and takes Jack with her to test it (every experiment needs a guinea pig). They end up in Orlando in the 90s, because that’s how time travel works, where they befriend Evan and Emory Huang (the latter of whom charms Diane). Eddie stumbles through the time portal, promptly falls in love with Zoe Johnson and becomes the black son Andre always wanted. Jessica and Rainbow take over the world. The end.
This is just a live feed of the Simpsons watching The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story. (Homer wants to know how it ends).
Let's choose the ruler of Westeros a little differently than the current method, shall we? Interested applicants for ruler of the Andals and the First Men must get to know their opponents and answer questions about them in a live performance broadcast in all seven kingdoms.
Josh Greenberg is the last person alive, and forget survival, he just wants a girlfriend! This is eerily similar to the actual premise of Last Man on Earth, but Man Seeking Woman’s hallucinogenic fantasy sequences would help Josh survive the mundanity more than any number of margarita pools. Instead of Mike, Josh befriends semi-deflated volleyballs, and eventually, Trackanon descends from space to colonize the planet.
