Fernández was one of the league's most dominant pitchers. A two-time All-Star, he died in a tragic boat crash last month near Miami Beach. He was only 24 years old.
“It was a devastating blow to all of us in South Florida and our hearts go out to his family, everybody with the Marlins," said Heat coach Erik Spoelstra before the game, according to the Miami Herald.
The Heat went on to win the game against the Brooklyn Nets 121-100.
