Many parents take advantage of the spooky festivities, and use the holiday as an opportunity to prank their kids. Don't feel too bad -- just think about how much candy you're allowing them to eat.
If you're fresh out of ideas for tricking your kids, you can find inspiration from British journalist Mark Sparrow, who shared a horrifying image on Twitter Monday of a chocolate-covered brussels sprout.

Although the vegetable has become trendy in the last few years, they still haven't caught on with kids. And even if your kid likes brussels sprouts, an unexpected, raw green in the middle of their chocolate treat will definitely come as a shock.
Whatever you do, don't hand these out to kids in your neighborhood. Sparrow was definitely just trolling. Your kids are fair game though.
