According to The Information, Jerry Hunter, Snap's vice president of core engineering will replace Sehn.
Both Hunter and Sehn were former colleagues at Amazon.
Sehn's departure will make him the fourth exec to leave Snap since its IPO. The company's former vice president of human resources, Robyn Thomas, its vice president of security Martin Lev, and its general counsel Chris Handman, had left Snap this year.
Snap on Wednesday also revealed that Snapchat is working to "redesign" its app, after grappling with user complaints.
In a letter to Snap investors, CEO Evan Spiegel said that he had received feedback over the years that Snapchat was "hard to use" and was "redesigning" their app as a result.
"There is a strong likelihood that the redesign of our application will be disruptive...we're willing to take that risk for what we believe are substantial longterm benefits to our business," he said.
"We wish we had done this sooner."
Spiegel also added that the company is embarking on a substantial effort to build a new version of Snapchat's Android app from scratch, in order to attract more Android users.
"With significantly more Android users added than iOS users in September, we wish we had done this sooner," he said.
The changes will also be executed as Snap finds a way to present a personalised feed to users, relying in part on machine learning to get the job done, Spiegel said.
We'll just have to wait and see if the redesign move pays off.
