Vampire Weekend,Online Selling (2025) you okay dudes?
The band, which announced on Saturday night that its fourth album is complete, certainly had a lot to celebrate during their Lollapalooza performance. And it seems when the members of Vampire Weekend get excited they just play "A-Punk" over and over.
That's right. To open their set, Vampire Weekend played the fan favorite song from the self-titled 2008 album Vampire Weekend, not one, not two, but THREE whole times in a row.
That's a lot of "say ohs."
SEE ALSO: Meet the man who makes music with vegetablesThe setlist for the Aug. 4 performance confirmed that the band did in fact plan to play approximately seven minutes of "A-Punk." Why???? Uh, nobody is really clear on the details.

It's a bold and interesting choice to kick off a set with three songs in a row, and though some fans were confused AF, many people seemed to be okay with the decision.

According to one fan, after the back-to-back "A-Punks" the band encountered a few technical difficulties. But they quickly bounced back and decided to play the iconic Seinfeldtheme, which lead singer Ezra Koenig once made an cappella rendition of for a video game called The Junior Mint.

Time Out Chicago called Vampire Weekend's setlist "delightfully weird," writing, "The group inexplicably kicked off the evening by playing it's buoyant single 'A-Punk' three times in a row, before launching into a set that included a short but apt cover of Chicago's 'Saturday in the Park,' a mid-bass-solo rendition of the Seinfeld theme and an encore that featured Dusty Springfield's 'Son of a Preacher Man.'"
Though playing the same song three times in a row wasa bit strange, it was nowhere near as bizarre as the time Travis Scott performed his track "goosebumps" 14 times, breaking the Kanye West and Jay-Z's world record for the most times a single song has been performed by an artist during a concert.
Scott then waited a week and performed the song 15 times in a row to break his own record.
Vampire Weekend will hopefully shoot for "A-Punk" 16 times one day, but until then we can always listen to the song on repeat.
