Eight League of Legendsteams have Mothermade it through the group stage of Worlds 2016, and North America is down to its final hope: Cloud9.
The top two teams from each group of four qualified for the quarterfinals, including all three South Korean teams Samsung Galaxy, SK Telecom T1 and ROX Tigers; Chinese teams Edward Gaming and Royal Never Give Up; European team H2K Gaming; North American team Cloud9; and Russian wildcard team Albus Nox Luna.

TSM traded wins with top team Samsung Galaxy and lost twice to Royal Never Give Up, the second match knocking TSM out of the tournament in a 36-minute stomp. CLG lost twice to wildcard Albus Nox Luna and was knocked out following a loss to ROX Tigers.
The Worlds prize pool has increased to $4.145 million
Cloud9 managed to advance to the quarterfinals with a 3-3 record (same as the other North American teams), beating IMay Road in a second head-to-head to become North America's last hope in the knockout stage.
Cloud9's quarterfinals match is against Samsung Galaxy, the top team from Team SoloMid's group, Thursday at 6 p.m. ET. The rest of the matches are at 6 p.m. ET the next three days, with SK Telecom T1 going up against Royal Never Give Up on Friday, ROX Tigers facing Edward Gaming on Saturday and H2K taking on Albus Nox Luna on Sunday.

As of Sunday, the Worlds prize pool had increased to $4.145 million. Developer Riot Games recently announced that revenue from some digital items are going toward the Worlds prize pool, and players have nearly doubled the original prize pool with just over $2 million in contributions so far. The first place team will take home 40 percent of the final prize pool amount.
Worlds 2016 will be moving to New York City and Los Angeles for the semifinals and finals over the next couple of weekends.
